Ana Sofia Riberio, the speaker of the online event, shared the effects of the fires that occurred in the rural central region in the interior of Portugal on children and youth living in rural areas. As post-disaster recovery is a sensitive issue, she made policy recommendations for children in post-disaster processes, focusing on a population traditionally considered “vulnerable”.
